Staff members are the people who make the magic happen. They're here to answer questions, solve problems, and keep the game running at its best. There are different levels of staff. Each level gives them access to different functionalities, and with it they have different duties.
If you have a problem, you can contact any staff member and they will help you or point you to the person who can help you. The list of staff members can be found on all pages in the 4th box in the sidebar to the left.
This being said, here are the different staff levels.
Administrators
Admins have the utmost power on the site. They can do anything, and therefore can help you with any problem you may have.
Global Moderators
Global mods have the power to moderate all threads, like locking, stickying, moving, and deleting. Their job is to help with the technical side of moderation, as well as with user problems like arguments, questions, concerns, etc, as well as approving character profiles and making sure everyone is following the rules.
RP Moderators
RP mods have significantly less power than Global mods, but are still very important to SHFR. They have the power to moderate threads in certain boards, namely the Character Creation and Training boards. These members have been with us for a long time and know how perfectly how the site works. They're in charge of approving character profiles, making sure everyone is following the rules, and helping new members get started.
Veteran Members
While Veteran members aren't staff, it's worth mentioning them here. Veteran members are members who have been here for a while, are good with roleplaying combat, and can handle newbies well. They are just like regular members except they have the ability to train new members.
All staff members have the ability to guide newbies through Training as well. Note that SHFR is not always open to new staff, and staff members are usually hand-picked by the founder, AlleyCat. If new staff is needed, there will be an announcement.
Also, if you have an issue with one of the staff members, please contact AlleyCat with your complaints.
